Privacy and Data Protection
How SPAG handles personal information across its website, membership platform and professional services.
Last updated: September 2026
Account and contact details, membership and professional profile information, payment references, event and learning records, communication preferences and technical security logs may be collected. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by SPAG.
We use information to operate membership services, reconcile dues, provide events and training, maintain professional records, communicate official updates, protect the platform and meet legitimate governance or legal obligations.
Directory participation is optional and limited to member-approved fields. Public membership verification requires matching information and returns only what is needed to confirm a record.
Authentication, hosting, database, email and payment providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and under their respective privacy and security obligations.
Records are retained as reasonably necessary for administration, financial accountability, governance and legal compliance. SPAG uses access controls, audit logging and proportionate safeguards.
Members may update eligible profile information and control directory visibility. Requests for access, correction or appropriate deletion may be submitted, subject to records SPAG must legitimately retain.
Material changes will be published here with a revised update date.
